HOW?

Lecturers and students collaborate on composing ideas as to how sustainability aspects could be integrated in management-related education.

There are two ways to go about it:

  • Adapt an existing course of your choice
  • Develop a new course of your choice

The competition is based on all courses and course descriptions (actual course descriptions, list of literature, course plan, forms of teaching). When integrating sustainability aspects into a course, focus should be on the 6 principles for Responsible Management Education and the themes of the Rio+20 Conference on Sustainable Development.

The end product (written and video entries) should be a proposition for updated or new course and curricula, which clearly indicates ways and ideas on integrating aspects of sustainable development.

CRITERIA

MAIN CRITERIA

  1. The entries will first and foremost be assessed by their originality and creativity in order to integrate sustainability approaches, e.g. by interdisciplinary cooperation in courses and curricula at business schools and management-related university faculties.
  2. Ability to present the teams ideas
  3. Relevance to the Rio+20 Conference themes: (a) a green economy in the context of sustainable development and poverty eradication; and (b) the institutional framework for sustainable development (www.uncsd2012.org)
  4. Relevance to the six PRME principles: Purpose, Values, Method, Research, Partnership, and Dialogue (www.unprme.org)

SECONDARY CRITERIA

  1. Ability to spread the word of the team’s entries and gain support which is measured by the number of Facebook “Likes”

You can still go to www.asb.dk/en (ASB) and samfundsvidenskab.au.dk/en (SAM), but these websites will be closing soon.

New times at au.dk/en

The university’s website is being redesigned. The design and content will therefore change, and you may experience for a while that old and new sections are mixed together, and that the content is not in its usual place.

We hope that the new website will make up for any inconvenience, and that you will enjoy greater coherence throughout and find the website simpler to use.

Why are we making a mess?

In the time ahead, you will notice a mixture of old and new designs in the pages on the website.

In spring 2011, Aarhus University’s nine main academic areas were reduced to four, and the fifty-five departments became twenty-six. This was to unify the organisation and to strengthen the university’s interdisciplinary approach. We are now following suit by restructuring the entire website to ensure more coherence in the content and design.

Such an exercise takes time – and we hope you will bear with us!

Take a short cut

Under the HOT KEY at the top right, you can find links to the most frequently used content on the website, as well as the two new universes for staff and students.

Where can I find it?

Use the new mega dropdowns to get an overview of the website’s content. They open when you run your mouse over the navigation at the top.
