Students - as future leaders - have an essential role to play in advancing the Rio+20 agenda for sustainable development.

Responsible actions based upon universal principles can underpin education with values essential for driving sustainable and inclusive growth. Practical solutions towards responsible education must be widely mobilized.

Rio+20 will set the sustainability agenda for the next decade, and we expect that a strong call for responsible and sustainable leaders will emerge from the actions following the PRME LEADERS+20 Competition. We urge students - as future responsible leaders – and lecturers engaged in management-related education to answer this call to create a sustainable future based on sustainability focused education.
